ABOLETH

Those lucky enough to escape an aboleth's enslavement ability are sometimes not entirely free from suffering ill effects. An individual who was enslaved for a long period of time, with the aboleth forcing itself into its victim's mind telepathically, can have his very mind and essence subtly warped by the experience. Thus an aboleth bloodline is begat.

Appearance: As an aboleth bloodline advances he becomes paler and paler, until his skin has a slightly translucent quality. He often secretes small amounts of slime from his pores, giving the impression of a a sickly individual who perspires greatly. However, an aboleth bloodline is usually quite strong, with wiry muscles beneath his pallid skin.

Personality: An aboleth bloodline prefers to dominate whatever situation he is in. He does not let others make decisions or control the playing field; he asserts his authority at all times, regardless of who he may be dealing with. Though he does not shy from battle, he generally prefers to intimidate and bully his opponents into submitting to his wishes.

ABOLETH BLOODLINE BENEFITS

  • +2 bonus on all Swim checks
  • +1 bonus on all Spot checks
  • Aboleth Affinity: An aboleth bloodline gains a +2 bonus on all Bluff, Diplomacy, Gather Information, Intimidate and Perform checks made to interact with aboleths.

ABOLETH BLOODLINE ADVANCEMENT

Following are the features of the bloodline levels of the aboleth bloodline, should you decide to advance one or more levels in this regard.

Hit Die: d8

Class Skills: Concentration (Con), Craft (Int), Knowledge (all skills taken individually) (Int), Listen (Wis), Spot (Wis), Swim (Str).

Skill Points at Each Level: 4 + Int modifier.

Weapon and Armour Proficiency:: Aboleth bloodlines gain no proficiency with any weapon or armour.

Powers Known: When an aboleth bloodline gains each of 2nd and 4th level, the character gains power points and powers known as if he had also gained a level in whatever manifesting class he had before he added the bloodline class level. He does not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained. If a character had more than one manifesting class before he gained 2nd or 4th level of aboleth bloodline, he must decide to which class he adds each level of aboleth bloodline for the purpose of determining power points and powers known.

Alertness: An aboleth bloodline gains Alertness as a bonus feat at 1st level.

Darkvision: At 1st level an aboleth bloodline gains darkvision to a range of 60 feet. If he already has darkvision, the range of his darkvision increases 30 feet.

Strength Boost: At 3rd level an aboleth bloodline gains a permanent +2 increase to Strength.
