This rare bloodline most often results from an ancestor being turned to stone by a medusa, and subsequently revived. A medusa bloodline - even an advanced one - is very difficult to detect through physical cues. This trouble is enhanced by a medusa's bloodline's tendency to disguise its appearance in subtle ways.
