It looks like the PDF release of September's DM Sketchpad will be delayed until I can finish writing it. In the meantime I want to get started on October so it does not suffer the same fate. Below is a new otyugh in our ever expanding otyughnomicon. The following material is Open Game Content

Calamitous Mishap (Su) As a free action once per encounter, Dur-Glurp can cause some calamity to itself and another creature within 5 ft. The calamity must be reasonable to occur and equally dangerous to both Dur-Glurp and the other creature.
Cursed (Ex) Dur-Glurp takes a -2 penalty on all checks and saves, and a -1 penalty on all attack rolls (included).
Diminished Criticals (Su) Dur-Glurp must roll twice to confirm any critical hit.
Disease (Ex) Filth fever: Bite—injury; save Fortitude DC 16; onset 1d3 days; frequency 1/day; effect 1d3 Dex damage and 1d3 Con damage; cure 2 consecutive saves. The save DC is Constitution-based.
Twist of Fate (Su) The first time that Dur-Glurp would achieve an automatic success in a day by “rolling a natural 20”, it fails instead.
Unlucky Strike (Su) When Dur-Glurp rolls a critical failure with his bite or tentacle attacks, he must make a Reflex save (DC 11) or provoke an attack of opportunity against those that threaten him.
Treasure incidental
Dur-Glurp is an unlucky otyugh, when fortune blessed his muckbrother Ug-Glurp, he cursed Dur-Glurp in spite. Dur-Glurp has never been a special otyugh; he was one of a litter of thirteen otyugh. His muck brother, Ug-Glurp was spared but his ten other mucksiblings were consumed by his mother. Dur-Glurp would have suffered the same fate if he had not become lodged in her throat and choked her to death. Dur-Glurp has always struggled, nothing has come to him easily and he know that nothing ever will.
Dur-Glurp is happy… well at least not resentful over his muck brother’s success and good fortune but he does not follow him. He is certain that trying to living in the new world that Ug-Glurp is trying to create will only cause Dur-Glurp to bring those plans into ruin. Dur-Glurp lives alone in his own misery struggling against the fate that has befallen him, certain he will never escape.
