Woad, common: Warriors, to instil fear in their enemies and also to aid them in battle, wear this psychoactive body paint, which is usually right blue. Painting woad on a subject requires 10 minutes and confers 1d3 temporary hit points for the space of 2 hours. At the player’s option, other types of woad might be available. Instead of temporary hit points, a player can opt to use woad to boost Bluff, Diplomacy or Intimidation checks by +1d3 or even a +1 deflection bonus to AC. Prices for these variants are the same as common woad, but only one type is wearable at any given time.
