Canoe, Outrigger: An outrigger canoe is a canoe supported on both sides by hollowed logs, or by rounded frames covered with waterproof hide. These supports stabilise the canoe, allowing it to weather even extreme sea conditions with ease. Characters travelling in an outrigger canoe gain a +4 competence bonus to all Profession (sailor) skill checks to avoid being overturned.
