COMBAT

Alratheen warriors swarm opponents, relying on speed and agility to quickly take down foes. A common practice is to drop down on opponents from above, relying on the element of surprise. Alratheen warriors do not retreat once an enemy has been engaged, quickly overwhelming foes.

Absorb Fall (Ex): When determining the damage an alratheen takes from a fall, the effective height of the fall is reduced by 10 feet per character level.

Arcane Enervation (Ex): When casting arcane spells, an alratheen suffers 1 point of non-lethal damage per spell level.

Mental Susceptibility (Ex): Alratheen suffer a - 4 penalty on saves versus spells, power, and effects with the Mind-Affecting descriptor. Additionally, the duration of all such effects is doubled where applicable.

Mute (Ex): An alratheen is unable to vocalize sounds without external aid. While on Terminus, an alratheen can cast divine spells with verbal components without speaking.

Stability (Ex): An alratheen is considered 1 size category larger for purposes of resisting bull rush, overrun, and trip checks.

Tactile Telepathy (Su): An alreatheen can communicate telepathically with a creature possessing a shared language. The creature can resist the attempt with a Will save versus a Mind-Affecting effect with a DC of 10 + alratheen character level + Charisma modifier.

Unique Body Shape: An alratheen cannot wear necklaces or any other items or equipment that fastens around the neck. Additionally, if not wearing custom made armor, the alratheen loses its +4 bonus to Dexterity.

Skills: Balance, Climb, Escape Artist, Jump, and Tumble are always class skills for an alratheen. An alratheen receives a +8 racial bonus on Climb checks.

Weapon Familiarity - Spiked Chain: An alratheen treats a spiked chain as a martial weapon.

Alratheen are a unique mixture of physical prowess and mental might. Because of this, most alratheen encountered possess levels in the psychic warrior class; half of the information in the statistics block is for a psychic warrior of 1st level.

COMBAT

Alratheen psychic warriors follow many of the same tactics utilized by normal alratheen warriors, using surprise, speed, and agility to take down foes. They bolster their physical skills psionically before entering combat.

Psionic Powers: The alratheen described here knows one power, but does not normally have the power points to manifest the power.

Typical Psychic Warrior Powers (power points 0; save DC 10 + power level): 1st – expansion. Manifester level 1st. The save DCs are Wisdom-based.

ALRATHEEN AS CHARACTERS

Alratheen characters possess the following racial traits.
- +4 Dexterity, -2 Constitution, -2 Strength.
- Small Size: +1 bonus to Armor Class, +1 bonus on attack rolls, +4 bonus on Hide checks, lifting and carrying limits 3/4 of those of Medium characters. If moving as a quadruped, the carrying capacity is equal to that of a bipedal Medium Character.
- Alratheen base land speed is 20 feet. An alratheen has a speed of 40 feet as a quadruped. An alratheen has a climb speed of 20 feet.
- Normal vision.
- Special Qualities (see above): Absorb fall, arcane enervation, mental susceptibility, mute, stability, tactile telepathy, unique body shape.
- Racial Skills: Balance, Climb, Escape Artist, Jump, and Tumble are always class skills for an alratheen. An alratheen receives a +8 bonus on all Climb checks.
